Overview

Tiranga47, a vibrant and authentic Indian street food truck nestled at 92 Serra Way in Milpitas, CA, offers a compelling culinary experience that connects the rich flavors of Punjab with the lively atmosphere of a food truck setting. This spot has quickly become a favorite among locals seeking traditional Indian fare with an elevated touch, blending the charm of street food with top-tier culinary craftsmanship.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the Amritsari Kulcha, a signature Punjabi stuffed flatbread that has earned rave reviews for its perfect balance of spices and textures. Expertly baked in a tandoor, it arrives warm, generously filled with mashed potatoes, onions, and homemade cheese, accompanied by a savory chole (garbanzo beans in spiced onion gravy) that reflects authentic Amritsar flavors. This dish captures the very soul of North Indian comfort food, and patrons have praised it as the best in town—a claim supported by the enthusiastic accolades from frequent visitors.

Expanding beyond the kulchas, the menu offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights that emphasize street food favorites with a refined twist. The Bhatti Murg, marinated chicken flavored with aromatic spices and cooked to smoky perfection, pairs beautifully with freshly baked naan varieties, including a noteworthy garlic naan and chicken-stuffed breads that bring a hearty edge to the offerings.

For those seeking lighter, innovative dishes, options like the Palak Chaat and Malai Soya Chaap provide a refreshing departure from heavy curries. The Palak Chaat features crispy spinach with tangy chutneys and a balanced spice blend, delivering complexity in every bite. The Malai Soya Chaap offers a creamy, smoky profile that complements the street food vibe while satisfying modern palates looking for texture and depth.

The food truck also shines through its expertly crafted wraps—Kathi Rolls filled with seasoned paneer or tandoori chicken, ideal for those on the go but unwilling to compromise on flavor. These wraps bring the essence of Indian street dining to a convenient format, making Tiranga47 a natural choice for a flavorful quick meal amidst a busy day.

The overall experience is enriched by the background of the chef, whose credentials include esteemed kitchens like Amber India and Yellow Chilli. This culinary pedigree translates into consistently well-executed dishes that preserve the authenticity of Indian flavors without overwhelming the senses. The food balances spices, textures, and freshness beautifully, making each visit a memorable one.

Tiranga47's location in Milpitas comes with ample parking, which along with the friendly service and fast turnaround, appeals to both casual street food enthusiasts and those looking for a tasteful, reliable lunch or dinner option. The truck’s neighborhood vibe, amidst other Indian cuisine trucks, creates a small but vibrant haven for lovers of South Asian street eats.

The best Amrutsari Kulchas in town. If I can give 7 stars I will give it these Kulchas stuffed with masala and tastes as if you are just having it in Amritsar. Nothing comes close... Next I ordered Bhatti Murg. Very delicious, marinated with some aromatic spices and cooked to perfection. Loved it and it's priced only at 3.99. ample parking behind in the Milan complex. This truck is parked next to Swaraj India truck. Now there's a huge variety of Indian food veg, non-vegetarian and Paapdi chaat etc. must visit.

I recently visited Tiranga 47 - Indian Street Food Truck in Milpitas, and it’s safe to say this food truck is a hidden gem for Indian street food lovers! My experience started with the palak chaat, and let me tell you, it was the best I’ve ever had. The crispy spinach, paired with tangy chutneys and a perfectly balanced spice blend, created an explosion of flavors that left me craving for more. Next up was the malai soya chaat, which was equally delightful. The soya was marinated and cooked to perfection, creamy and flavorful with a hint of smokiness. It’s the ideal dish for those who enjoy a blend of texture and taste that’s both satisfying and refreshing. I also tried the paneer kathi wrap, which was loaded with paneer and packed with flavor. It was filling and wholesome, with soft paneer cubes marinated in spices, paired with fresh veggies and wrapped in a soft paratha. It’s the perfect grab-and-go meal for those on the move but still wanting a hearty, flavorful bite. To wrap up the evening, I sipped on a hot cup of kadak chai, which was exactly what I needed for the chilling evening. The chai was strong, aromatic, and had just the right amount of spices to warm me up. What’s even more impressive is that the chef behind this street food truck has worked at renowned places like Amber India and Yellow Chilli restaurants. With that kind of culinary expertise, it’s no wonder the food is as yummy as it is! You can truly expect restaurant-quality flavors with a street food vibe, making it a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors in Milpitas.

Edit: Tried their Peshawari Chicken tikka, Amritsari kulcha with Fauji chicken curry. 5/5 for chicken tikka as it was juicy, tender and well marinated. However, will give it a pass for the curry as it lacked salt and found oil a little excessive personally, but their kulcha was great. Great service, lovely food. Definitely coming back. Palak patta chat was very yum.
